Virat Kohli’s nightmarish form worries fans

Indian Star Batsman and legendary cricketer Virat Kohli is facing a nightmare of different kind in his career at this moment. He is either batting slow or getting out first ball. The man who used to be the mark of consistency in scoring runs has failed yet against SRH and that too got out for first ball duck.

This is his fourth first ball duck in this season and Royal Challengers Bangalore are depending on Rajat Patidar, Faf du Plessis more this season as Virat Kohli has become a walking wicket. Sachin Tendulkar kind of consistent batsman and all-time great went through bad phase but he used manage a partnership and guide the other batsman on field even in his bad days. But Kohli seems to have lost his touch and run of green is also not going his way.

His form is worrying not just his die hard fans but Indian Cricket Fans. After IPL season, Indian International team prepares for T20 World Cup and Virat is a key batsman in the team. It would be hard to digest and ask a batsman of his stature to sit out. He used to captain the side till last year and even consistently performed every time he was given a chance. For the sake of Indian team, he has to find some form in the middle and may be participating in any domestic tournaments where pressure of expectations will be less might help him.

Dilip Vengsarkar, one of the legends of Indian Cricket also opined the same and said Virat needs to play more and spend as much time as he can on field than taking rest. He said that the cricketer needs to clear his head and find concentration again. On the other hand, Indian ex-coach and great friend of Virat, Ravi Shastri again asked Virat Kohli to take time off from IPL and rest to clear his head.

Fans of Indian Cricket team are hoping that he will find some form by the end of the tournament or in next International series before India enters CWC T20. He played key role in taking India through to Semi Finals stage in previous two editions. Rohit Sharma showed glimpses of form and KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Sanju Samson, Rishab Pant kind of batsmen have found some form and Rahul has been consistent yet again. It is hard to believe that Virat Kohli is going through such phase but he needs to find a solution for the problem soon.
