Vijay Devarakonda’s LIGER rights sold for huge prices

Vijay Devarakonda has become a hot favorite hero for Telugu movie lovers, especially youth, with his Geetha Govindam and Arjun Reddy films. He failed to repeat the success with Dear Comrade and World Famous Lover. He joined hands with director Puri Jagannath after the director’s box office smashing success Ismart Shankar release. Puri Jagannath delivered a hit after a gap of five years.

He is now expecting to deliver a Pan-India hit film with Vijay Devarakonda’s Liger. Ananya Pandey is playing leading lady role and Karan Johar is producing the movie along with Puri Jagannath, Charmme Kaur. Movie is releasing in five Indian languages Worldwide in August.

Now, the news update about the movie is that the team has sold music rights to Sony for a huge amount. OTT and Satellite rights have been bagged by Star India. Both of them have earned the team a total close to Rs. 100 crores, suggest the reports. The amount hasn’t been officially confirmed.

Theatrical rights haven’t been sold yet. Expectations from trade are high as Puri Jagannath has a track record of delivering hits with any actor, he has worked for the first time except for few. Also, he is doing a boxing film after Ravi Teja’s Amma Nanna O Tamil Ammayi, which has cult following. If the movie works out at the box office, it will be a huge blockbuster as per trade expectations. Famous boxer Mike Tyson is doing a cameo in the film. The director and actor started working on their next film, Jana Gana Mana.
