Telangana CM KCR meets SP Akhilesh Yadav in Delhi

Indian Politics have been dominated by Congress for more than 50 years in the 75 years of Indian Independence. Janata Party brought up a Nationalist Movement against Congress in 1975 and Emergency in 1977 helped it to topple Congress. Left Communists could only pierce into some pockets and not everywhere.

Tamil Nadu saw early deviation from Congress dominance in the state due to Dravidan movement and Dravida Kazhagam won elections in 1967 and from then on Dravida Munetra Kazhagam (DMK) or All India Anna Dravida Munetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) have been forming governments in the state almost alternatively.

In Telugu States Congress dominated with Left Communists gaining some momentum till 1982 when NTR emerged as a strong political leader with Telugu Desam Party. Congress vs TDP became a norm till the division of United Andhra Pradesh into Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. KCR and his party TRS emerged as dominating political giants in Telangana in ten years. Now, KCR is looking to develop TRS as a National Party and he has been vocally commenting about BJP government in Delhi and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He is now meeting other regional party leaders to start an alternative motion to dominating BJP. He has met Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav in Delhi at his residence. Now, he will go to Punjab and handover checks to 600 farmers’ families who died in All India farmer protest. He will handover Rs. 3 lakhs checks to each one of their families. In Punjab, he will stay for four days and meet AAP Punjab leaders and few more local leaders to unite against BJP. Will he try to include Left Communists also, is to be seen.
