T20 World Cup 2024: Rohit Sharma tears into Australia

Rohit Sharma slammed Australia away right from the first ball

Rohit Sharma has been unable to really set the stage on fire in this T20 World Cup 2024. In a crucial match for Australia, he took their star bowlers to cleaners from the 3rd over and set on course for Indian big score. After winning the toss, Australia elected to field first, trusting the pitch to remain the same till the end of the match.

India lost Virat Kohli for a five ball duck to a disciplined Josh Hazlewood. Immediately, in the next over, Rohit Sharma tore into Mitchell Starc and scored 29 runs with 4 sixes and one four. He continued to slam the star bowlers even though rain interrupted for a tiny bit. He continued to take on Marcus Stoinis, Adam Zampa and even Pat Cummins.
