Sai Sudharsan, one of the upcoming talents of India, found a place in National Team for 5 T20Is tour against Zimbabwe. Team India has decided to test their bench strength for this tour giving rest to major players from T20 World Cup 2024 winning team.
Already, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja have decided to retire from T20Is post the world cup win on a high. Now, selectors have replaced Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube for the 1st and 2nd T20Is. As these players have been part of World Cup winning squad, selectors seem to have given them rest to recover and join the squad.
Shubman Gill will captain the team while Ruturaj Gaikwad, Rinku Singh get their opportunity to be part of starting XI. Sai Sudharsan, Jitesh Sharma and Harshit Rana will replace the above mentioned players and this move is welcomed by many experts, as the young ones will get more exposure at International level.
