SpiceJet airplanes have been forced to land under emergency situation for the eighth time in 18 days. Lastly, on 5th July, Pilot had to return in few minutes due to radar indicator failure and land the flight in Kolkalta after take off from Kolkata to Chongqing airport in China.
With this event, DGCA has taken the matter seriously in terms of SpiceJet continuous emergency landings due to bad engine conditions. DGCA has issued show cause notices to SpiceJet airlines and said that they have got information about financial crisis in the company.
DGCA has asked the company to explain about the recent incidents and asked about not clearing dues to vendors in-time. Also, they have stated that they got information about payment delays as well in recent times.
SpiceJet has been facing losses and financial difficulties lately. What they would do to come out of this crisis as even Jyothiraditya Scindia, Aviation Minister is unhappy about the continuous engine failures and emergency landings.
