Revanth Reddy promises to clear farmer loans in 30 days

Congress MP from Telangana, Revanth Reddy has become one of the most active leaders from the party in the state. As senior leaders of Congress in the state have either joined TRS or decided to stay quiet, Revanth is taking the opportunity to fight against CM KCR.

He used to be one of the key politicians in TDP but as Telangana TDP has become almost non-existent he joined Congress and it is the only recognisable opposition party in the state. Revanth talked to press on 18th May and stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao would not get third chance from public.

He opined that there is considerable anti incumbency and his party will benefit from it. He declared that Congress party will unconditionally clear farmer loans amounting to Rs. 30 crores in 30 days after forming government and he will see that only those farmers who are eligible will get benefits of Rythu Bandhu scheme.

He claimed that KCR Government is spending funds without limits and Congress will stem it and see that money is spent on welfare and development. He alleged that government is grabbing assigned farming lands and peasants and doing real estate business. He further stated that cash crops that Telangana farmers used to specialise on have been vanishing as more farmers on concentrating on Paddy crops. He slammed government for advertising that they have given water to one lakh acres under Kaleswaram project while still there are 30 lakhs pump sets in use in the state.

He promised that Congress will form a Farmer committee and try to find solutions to all the existing farmer problems in the state.
