After the BCCI has given over a year for Indian middle order batsman Ajinkya Rahane, Cheteshwara Pujara, now it hasn’t picked them for the Sri Lanka Test series to give more opportunities to the amazingly talented players like Hanuma Vihari and Shubman Gill. Yes, Vihari deserved a lot of opportunities and permanent middle-order batsman rank for him.
He saved team India on many occasions with his brave fight. Rahane and Pujara will be replaced by Vihari and Gill in the Sri Lanka Test series which will start from 4th March 2022 onwards. Hanuma Vihari will be played either in 5th or 6th position in the match.
And the BCCI has wanted Pujara and Rahane to play Ranji matches to improve their technique. It also cleared said signals to everyone to score more runs and get picked.
The first Test match between India and Sri Lanka in the bilateral series will start on 4th March at Mohali.
