President, PM express condolences to Delhi fire victims

Near Mundka Metro Station, Delhi, at a commercial office building, fire mishap victimized more than 100 people. Out of the victims 27 people were burnt alive and more than 50 people got severely injured and were shifted to hospital immediately.

Delhi fire department worked through the Friday night to bring the fire under control and the investigation is going on to find out the actual cause for the fire. Initial reports suggest that the fire accident happened due to short circuit.

The rescue operations have been going on from Friday night and Fire fighters have been working extra shifts to bring the situation to normalcy. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences to the victims and asked Delhi government to assist them,

President Ramnath Kovind expressed his condolences and asked commercial buildings to undergo safety check-ups regularly. He hoped that the victim families will find strength in this hour of sorrow. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal asked for a thorough investigation about the accident and expressed his condolences to victims.
