Night curfew extends in AP

Like in the last wave, the AP government has enforced Covid restrictions lately in the state. Except for the Andhra government, all states imposed restrictions. It was imposed after the Pongal but unlike other states, it didn’t extend Pongal holidays for children in wake of Covid cases.

After Sankranthi, it enforced a night curfew and 50% occupancy in theatres. Today, the same rules have been extended till 14th February. On the other hand, children in AP have been sent to schools despite suffering from fever and cold. With this, teachers have been worrying about whether other students will be affected.

But Parents’ argument has been different as the schools are going on and if they stop sending their children due to fever and cough, they will lag behind in lessons. Hence parents have been sending children to schools so as not to miss any classes.

On the other hand, the AP government has been assuring that they have strictly passed orders to all educational institutions to follow covid protocols like sanitising classrooms every day etc.,

In AP, 6,213 cases have been reported in the last 24 hours and 5 were dead.
