Neeraj Chopra misses out Commonwealth Games

Neeraj Chopra, Indian Track and Field Athlete, has been ruled out of Commonwealth Games 2022. Many Indians had high hopes from him that he would win at least one medal for India in track and field events. He won medal in Javelin Throw competition in Olympics and he has won silver medal at World Athletics Championships too.

While playing at the World Championships, he sustained an injury in the groin region. The injury seriousness could only be known after he gets medical check-ups. Doctors have told him that he can fully recover from groin injury only after a month.

Medical officials assigned by Indian Olympic Committee also confirmed the same and hence, he had to pull out off the Commonwealth games, 2022 to be held in Birmingham, United Kingdom.

He has plans to represent India in Olympics and other world level events for a long term. Hope he recovers soon and participate in next World prestigious event and win medals for India too.
