Michael Bracewell wins last ball thriller for NZ!

New Zealand and Ireland are playing ODI series. After Indian T20I series, Harry Tector seems to have become highly confident in his abilities. He scored 113 off 117 balls and helped Ireland score 300/9 in 50 overs.

New Zealand in their chase lost Finn Allen and Will Young early. But Tom Latham, the captain and Martin Guptill put up a good partnership. Guptill scored 51 runs. At 5/120 in 21.4 overs – Glenn Phillips and Michael Bracewell came together.

Even though at 153 runs Glenn Phillips got out, Bracewell continued to play well against IRE bowlers. Ish Sodhi after scoring 25 runs off 35 balls fell at 214 runs on the board in the 41st over. Matt Henry (0) and Lockie Ferguson (8) did not score much but Bracewell did all the heavy lifting through the last ten overs.

He scored 127 runs off 82 balls and in Craig Young’s last over, he scored 24 runs in the 5 balls to win the match for New Zealand with one wicket. NZ scored 305/9 in 50 overs, all thanks to Bracewell. Simi Singh and Curtis Campher (3/49) bowled well for Ireland.
