Major film released as a Pan-India project across India and worldwide on 3rd June. Movie collected Rs. 13 crores gross on the first day. Adivi Sesh, the hero and writer, celebrated the occasion with director Sashi Kiran Tikka and actors, crew in front of media.
At the event he said, “I am super happy with the response we received for Major. My phone has been ringing with compliments and I am excited to receive as many calls as they come. In Industry, they say that if you phone doesn’t stop ringing on the opening day or release day, then your film is a hit and otherwise not. I am glad my phone is still ringing. I am missing my Sandeep’s parents and guru Abburi Ravi at the event. Sandeep Unnikrishnan needs to celebrated and I am glad I could be a part of that process.”
He then announced that Major team will help economically underprivileged army enthusiasts to become soldiers. He said that this would be their major tribute to Sandeep. Sashi Kiran Tikka became emotional remembering his father who passed away during the filming. He thanked people for the response and thanked those who are getting inspired to join Army after watching their film.
