Kalvakuntla Taraka Ramarao, Minister of IT & Indistries, Telangana went to Davos to attend World Economic Forum and meet several Foreign dignitaries to welcome them to invest in Telangana state. He met AP CM YS Jagan and shared images on social media. He mentioned Jagan as his brother and called it a great meeting.
Later, he spoke at the forum at “AI on the Street: Managing Trust in Public Square” panel about the problems in using facial recognition. He opined that it would be hard to gain trust among the public with facial recognition kind of technology.
He said that it would be hard for public to trust that Government will not misuse their data and are not conducting surveillance about their every move and private life. He opined that only when Government Organizations are given regulatory powers in a transparent manner through parliamentary methods then only gaining trust among public would be possible.
At the forum, KTR also met Aditya Thackeray, son of Uddav Thackery, Chief Minister of Maharastra and Cabinet Minister of the state. He informed that they both have discussed about the issues between the states.
Telangana IT Ministry announced that Greenfield Facility will be established in Telangana with 500 crores investment that will create 500 new jobs. Aliaxis is going to set up this Greenfield. CFO Koen Sticker, representing Ashirvad Pipes and KTR signed on the agreement papers at Davos. The manufacturing unit will manufacture storage & distribution of Plastic pipes, fittings and accessories.
