Jason Roy helps England win second ODI against NED

England dominated Netherlands as expected in the second ODI too. They did not score another 498 but they did not let the young European team to have any kind of upper hand throughout the game.

Netherlands batted first in a rain hit game and scored 235 in 41 overs. Captain Scott Edwards scored 78 to help them get that total. England openers Jason Roy and Phil Salt blasted NED bowlers round the park.

They raced to 139 in 17 overs and lost Roy (73) for the last ball of the 17th over. Salt continued the onslaught and scored 77 off 54 balls. He fell when the score reached 168 runs. Morgan continued his horrendous run with another duck. Buttler did not come out to bat.

Moeen Ali, Dawid Malan took the team to victory after Liam Livingston fell for just 4. Ali scored 42 off 40 balls with 5 boundaries and one six. Malan played himself in by scoring 36 runs off 50 balls. The Third ODI will be played on 22nd June.
