Suresh Raina started his IPL career along with all other Indian cricketers when IPL started and he emerged as a consistent performer for Chennai Super Kings and he is considered a legend by cricket experts when it comes to T20 cricket, especially, IPL. He is still the highest runs scorer in IPL. But he is not part of 2022 season and his rift with CSK management is the reason for this turnaround in his career. He did not even got a contract with any franchise, sadly. His loss of interest in playing any other domestic tournaments and lack of form are other factors that played against him.
Well, experts and observers of cricket in India have speculations that Ravindra Jadeja is also going similar path. Jadeja has been offered captaincy for 2022 season and he gave up in the mid-season has it is affecting his performance. He played one match post giving up his captaincy and in that he got injured while fielding.
Doctors have advised him to take rest and CSK management let him off the hook. He has hurt in his rib cage, as per the reports. MS Dhoni when asked about Jadeja’s absence in the previous match, he stated that details will be given by team management after doctor consultation.
In the meanwhile, CSK Instagram page unfollowed him on Instagram and he reciprocated the same. Expert and ex-Indian Test player, Akash Chopra speculated that it is a kind of an indication that Jadeja might have fallen off the grid for CSK management and he might not be featuring in the squad, next season.
But CSK CEO Kasi Vishwanathan reacting to the speculations stated that Jadeja is part of CSK family and will continue to be part of it. He said that the management values his contribution over the past 10 years for the team and will continue to value it. He brushed off social media speculations saying that he is not that active on social media and he doesn’t follow the trends much.
