It was known that the biggest IPL auction would be held in Bengaluru on 12th and 13th February 2022. Hundreds of players across the globe will go under the hammer for this mega auction. Already, several franchises retained players based on the IPL retention policy.
Due to the rise in Covid cases in Karnataka, BCCI has been mulling over to shift the venue as well as the dates of the auction if the cases won’t come down. As stated by Zee News, BCCI is keen to complete the Ranji Trophy season before the start of IPL 2022.
BCCI President Sourav Ganguly said that they have been planning to revise the domestic cricket policy after the Covid situation comes under control. Dada said the BCCI is committed to holding the domestic season.
