IPL 2022: SRH wins but slim qualifying chances!

After disappointing fans with 5 back to back losses, Sunrisers Hyderabad finally managed to hold their nerve in a close encounter with struggling Mumbai Indians. As they have nothing to lose Mumbai Indians team played freely without taking any pressure.

Openers Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan, finally came good together in the chase for Mumbai but Sunrisers Hyderabad bowlers made it tough in the end overs. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar used all his experience to find yorkers at the right time and Tim David, who looked like winning it comfortably for MI, struggled to connect against Bhuvi.

SRH changed their batting order and Kane Williamson decided to come after most of the youngsters get their chance. Rahul Tripathi came good with a blistering knock and it is his knock in the end, proved to be the difference between winning team and losing team. Had Rohit or Ishan carried bat through the innings like Rahul for SRH, at least till 16th over, MI could have added one more consolation win to their sorry tally.

SRH needed to improve their Net Run Rate and win against MI to give themselves outside chance to qualify for the final qualifiers. But Delhi Capitals is looking strong with better NRR and a chance to win their game against Chennai Super Kings to qualify. Royal Challengers Bangalore would be hoping for DC loss and their victory as they are only teams with realistic chance to move forward in the last week of round robin league.
