IPL 2022: Punjab stops the Gujarat juggernaut!

For all the Cricket lovers, Indian Premiere League is the best tournament that guarantees box office entertainment every time. You can never predict how things change in the course of the tournament as every team is capable of winning over the other. From the start of the tournament this season, new teams Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants have been imposing themselves on the others.

They have managed to create huge impact by being the table toppers by the middle of the season. Now, for teams like Punjab Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, Chennai Super Kings every match is a do or die situation and Punjab Kings managed to almost bamboozle Gujarat Titans.

Gujarat lost Shubman Gill, their star opener cheaply and their other opener Wriddhiman Saha also fell early. Periodically, they kept losing wickets post Powerplay and young Sai Sudhershan stayed throughout the innings scoring 65 out of 50 balls he faced. He anchored them to a decent 143/8 in their quota of overs.

Punjab Kings looked completely in control throughout the chase. Shikar Dhawan, the Indian veteran opener came good for Punjab and with blasting sixers of Liam Livingston, Punjab completed the chase in 16 overs. Livingston’s 117m sixer during his innings has become the highlight of the night.
