IPL 2022: Mumbai eliminates Delhi and RCB into playoffs

Mumbai Indians have been unable to cross the line throughout the season in 2022 in most of their matches. But in the last match, they found some rhythm and luck. Delhi Capitals captain not taking review against Tim David who played the cameo innings that changed the match decisively. As RCB found some luck in their match, MI also found luck to help RCB reach playoffs.

Delhi Capitals even though had David Warner, Mitchell Marsh in great form both failed on the decisive day. MI came up with precise plans to both of them and Bumrah removed Prithvi Shaw, Marsh with great balls in his first spell. He came back in the final overs and restricted DC successfully to 159.

Tim David and Ishan Kishan came good in the final match and won it for MI. Even though they have finished last, if Bumrah and Jofra Archer come together for them next season and bowl at their full potential then MI might just reverse the situation next season like CSK in 2021 after 2020.

On Sunday, IPL 2022 is going to see the last league match and mostly even fans of both the teams are disinterested as the playoff spots are confirmed. Still, Sunrisers Hyderabad might want to test their bench strength and PBKS might try to finish an uneven season with a win on a positive note.

Playoffs week will be interesting this time as usual qualifiers like MI, CSK are not amongst them. RCB have all the chance with senior players in their side while Gujarat Titans are the in-form and consistent side. LSG and RR might find it difficult to overpower these two teams but on the day, they have the potential to topple them. RR will have another chance even if they lose their first qualifier. Exciting final week ahead as mostly a new champion is confirmed to be crowned this season.
