IPL 2022: CSK fans unable to digest “No DRS” rule!

Chennai Super Kings are out of 2022 IPL season with two more matches to go for them and they are only on 8 points. Even if they win next two games, they can’t get to 14 points and that means they can’t qualify to playoffs.

CSK fans are unable to digest the fact that Devon Conway who scored half centuries in each game he played this season got out cheaply for what seemed to be going down the leg. Daniel Sams got the priced wicket as Umpire gave Conway out and the batter couldn’t challenge the decision.

Due to technical problem in power supply for opening few overs of the match, “No DRS” rule was applied and Conway got first ball duck out due to the rule. Harsha Bhogle kind of veterans tried to reason with the rule but fans couldn’t take the fact that a high level match did not have DRS available that too for the first over of the match.

They are still abusing the IPL management for such technical fault and are suggesting that if there is technical issue then they should have stopped match and waited for the technology to be available rather than going with “No DRS”. Dhoni took the rule in his stride and praised young bowlers Mukhesh Choudhary and Simranjeet for their efforts in defending low score, under 100. He said that CSK will be getting ready for next season in a more planned way.
