Commonwealth Games 2022 have started in Birmingham and Indian contingent are looking to improve their performance over the previous competitions. Indian Athletes never have been able to dominate in Track and Field events in Athletics. The latest group are looking to change that history.

Indian Swimmer Srihari Nataraj has qualified to finals in 100m Backstroke competition. He finished the semi-final race in 54.55 seconds. Srihari qualified by finishing at the seventh place. If he manages to hit his best timing 53.77 seconds or even better it, he could bring a medal to India in Athletic events after Bronze by Prashant Karmakar in 2010 Delhi CWG.

Among other games, in Table Tennis competition, Indian Women’s team beat Guyana in Round 2. Indian Weightlifters are hoping to bring medals to the nation but the competition with their opponents has been highly tough.
