India at CWG 2022: Indian medals tally rises to 9

India on Day 4 won three medals. Shushila Devi Likmabam won Silver Medal and Vijay Kumar Yadav won Bronze Medal in Women’s & Men’s Judo competitions. Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated both of the them for winning medals.

Harjinder Kaur won Bronze medal in 71kg category by lifting a total of 212kg weight. With these three medals, Indian tally has grown to 9. Badminton star PV Sindhu, Table Tennis team event, Lawn Bowls, Punam Yadav 76kg Weightlifting event, Vikas Thakur 96kg Men’s weightlifting event are eagerly awaited for Indian contingent on Day 5.

India is expecting definite medals in all of the above mentioned categories. The hope against the hope is Swimming competition with Srihari qualifying to finals in backstroke event. Indian contingent is looking to improve the tally from 9 to 15 or more by the end of Day 5.
