Hyderabad has been growing at the rate of knots with each passing day. The amount of traffic is predicted to rise by 30% more in coming years and by 2040, 5000 vehicles are expected to be moving on the road per hour.
To reduce these huge problems. Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has come up with creative ideas to build flyovers. Now, they are completing the construction of Gachibowli ORR to Mindspace – Shilpa Layout Flyover.
With this flyover, GHMC expects the traffic problems in Cyberabad, Hi-tech City, Madhapur, Financial District to reduce considerably. It will be one of the tallest bridges in the city and it is being constructed with dimensions – 823 Meters Height, 16.60 Meters width. For this flyover, the steel portal frames with 14.5 Meters width and 23 Meters high are being used for the first time in GHMC’s history.
The construction is expected to complete by next month end. GHMC is going to build another one from Gachibowli ORR towards Kondapur at 816 Meters Height, 24 Meters width. GHMC is looking to complete this flyover also soon and bring it into use by December this year or March, next year.
