Eknath Shinde rebels against Uddhav Government

Eknath Shinde, Shivasena leader has decided to rebel against Maharastra CM Uddhav Thackeray. He along with 21 other MLAs has gone to Gujarat and he announced that he might submit his resignation to Speaker soon. If that is the case, then Maharastra assembly strength will reduce to 265.

One Shivsena MLA has died recently and with 22 resigning, the 288 seats total strength will come down to 265 and for any party to form government they will need 133 majority in the house. BJP has won 106 seats and if they can combine independents to join them, then the strength could achieve the magic number.

Then, Uddhav Thackeray’s Shivsena (55), Congress (44) and NCP (53), few independents combined Maha Vikas Aghadi government will have to give way to BJP Government in Maharastra. As Eknath Shinde along with his MLAs is in Gujarat, many feel that he might join BJP.

There are chances of him announcing new party too. But he won’t continue in Shivsena, say the reports. NCP Chief Sharad Pawar denied to comment on this issue and said that it is Shivsena’s internal issue and Uddhav will solve it by himself.
