Maharashtra political crisis has come to an end. Shivsena stays in power but Eknath Shinde, someone other than a person from Thackeray family has become Chief Minister of the State. Eknath Shinde ran a coupe for change in power. BJP supported him and ex-CM Devendra Fadnavis took deputy CM post on BJP high command insistence.
Now, Eknath Shinde had to win the trust vote in Maharashtra Assembly and he did so. He got the support of 164 MLAs and Opposition got only 99 votes. This firmly establishes Shivsena-BJP Government in Maharashtra for next few years before the elections.
Thackeray group of MLAs kept alleging Shinde group are terrified about Enforcement Directorate notices and cases, even in the House. Adithya Thackeray walked out of the Assembly with his group of Shivsena MLAs after the voting.
Uddhav Thackeray and Adithya Thackeray got huge shock when almost 75-80% of the MLAs decided to join Shinde group. Now, BJP will look at increasing the influence of Shinde group over Thackeray family in Maharashtra from here on.
