Cricket Roundup: Jofra Archer again injured!

England Cricket Board announced on 19th May that due to stress fracture on lower back star paceman Jofra Archer will miss entire English Summer. ECB Managing Director Rob Key expressed his concern over growing injury concerns with pace bowlers. Chris Woakes, Sam Curran, Ollie Robinson, Olly Stone, Mark Wood, Saqib Mohammad are injured for this season.

In other news, England Test Team for New Zealand series has been announced and in 13-men squad James Anderson and Stuart Board have made a return. For first two tests, the modern era greats will play for the English side. Dawid Malan got dropped from the side.

Sri Lanka drawn their first Test Match against Bangladesh in their tour to Bangladesh. Star Allrounder Angelo Mathews scored 199 in the first innings and Dinesh Chandimal batted well in both the innings. He ensured match will be drawn in the second innings after Taijul Islam threatened to start a collapse. Mushifiqur Rahim and Tamim Iqbal scored centuries for Bangladesh. Sri Lanka scored 397 and 260/6 in their two innings, respectively while Bangladesh scored 465 in their only innings.

IPL 2022 has entered final league stage and Royal Challengers Bangalore is set to take on Gujarat Titans. RCB needs to win against Table toppers and in form team to ensure their chances for qualification against Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals. Punjab Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad would be wishing for GT against RCB and Mumbai Indians against DC win to give them outside chance to qualify making their last league match for the season before playoffs, a blockbuster contest. RCB hope for Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis to come good on an all important match day.
