Chennai’s Second Airport to cost 20,000 crores

Chennai City has been ever-growing as Metropolitan city from past 100 years. Ever since its formation, Chennapatnam later Madras has become a huge hub for British rulers in South and now, Chennai has become the capital for Tamil Nadu state that they feel pride about.

Chief Minister MK Stalin has worked as Mayor of Chennai for several years and he has great knowledge about the traffic conditions in the city, dimensions and the requirements. The city has huge International Air Traffic and many people have asked for second airport like how Mumbai has several.

Finally, Tamil Nadu MPs have informed to Rajya Sabha that the government has plans to build second airport at Parandur, Chennai. MK Stalin has made the official statement about the airport on 2nd August and said that the government will spend Rs. 20,000 crores to construct this airport.

The airport will host 10 crores travelers over the year post construction. It will have two runways and will be used for cargo transport along with domestic, international plane transit. The government officials have identified four probable locations and Airport Authority of India has finalized Parandur. Soon, construction works will start and Stalin promised to complete the construction in quick time.
