Director Bala is the key figure in skyrocketing popularity and even starting the careers of Chiyaan Vikram, Suriya, Arya. He even gave Atharvaa a memorable film in Paradesi. As a director, Bala’s unique mark of experiments for commercial cinema like Sethu, Nandha and Sivaputrudu/Pithamagan marked for the stardom of Vikram and Suriya.
Arya career took a definitive turn after Naan Kadavul and Avan-Ivan. Now, Bala lost his touch in the filmmaking as commercial audiences are staying away from his experiments. Vikram out of gratitude offered him Arjun Reddy remake to introduce his son, Dhruv Vikram but later he scrapped that version and made Aditya Verma in Girishayya direction.
Suriya announced movie with Bala and the shoot also started. But now the buzz is that the movie has been stalled after the actor and director had creative differences. A strong headed visionary like Bala won’t budge to commercial requirements of a star film.
Suriya needs a big hit and may be he suggested few changes accordingly to fit his image. Director might not have liked it and hence, this kind of buzz. Did they really scrap the film? We have to wait for the official confirmation and announcement from the makers. Suriya has VaadiVasal in the direction of Vetrimaaran and another film in the direction of Singam fame Hari to start in July. He appeared in a special cameo in Lokesh Kanagaraj and Kamal Haasan’s Vikram.
