Stock Markets recover from Friday losses after bad start

Stock Markets recovered from last week losses on 24th June. Investors had a nightmarish start to the session with every big index trading in red. Major big stocks that drive markets have also started off poorly and this indicated a freefall adding to the losses of Friday session.

Going into the details, global negative trends contributed in opening the markets with huge losses. Gradually, at great lows, Mahindra & Mahindra kind of stocks started attracting investors. This led to recovery for Indices to trade in green. Hence, big indices of Stock Markets, BSE gained 131.18 points to close at 77,341.08 and Nifty gained 36.75 points to close at 23,537.85 mark.

In this session of Stock Markets, BSE Sensex started trading lower than previous closing at 76,885.65 and then continued to trade between 76,745.94 – 77,423.02. On the other hand, Nifty Sensex started trading at 23,382.30 mark and it hit its highest for the day at 23,558.10. While Nifty50 hit the lowest at 23,350.00.

Indian Rupee traded at Rs.83.47 against USD on 24th June 2024. Mahindra & Mahindra, Power Grid Corporation Of India, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Nestle India and UltraTech Cement ended as Top Gainers in Sensex. Mahindra & Mahindra, Power Grid Corporation Of India, Shriram Finance, Grasim Industries, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries ended as Top Gainers in Nifty50.

On the other hand in top indices of Stock Markets; Indusind Bank, Tata Steel, Reliance Industries, Axis Bank and Bajaj Finance stocks ended as Top Losers in Sensex. While Indusind Bank, Cipla, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone, Coal India, Tata Steel ended as Top Losers in Nifty50.
