Stock Markets ended flat with marginal losses on 02nd July 2024. Investors started off the session on a huge positive note at all-time high benchmarks. Later during intraday, investors started booking profits and hence, the indices dropped big time. With such drop, indices ended the session flat.
Going into the details, banking sector fell drastically and drove investors to book profits. BSE Sensex has hit 79,855.87 all-time high benchmark during intraday session. Nifty50 also hit 24,236.35 mark at highest but both ended with marginal losses. Hence, Big indices of Stock Markets, BSE lost 34.73 points to close at 79,441.45 and Nifty50 lost 18.10 points to close at 24,123.85 mark.
In this session of Stock Markets, BSE Sensex started trading higher than previous closing at 79,840.37 and then continued to trade between 79,855.87 – 79,231.11. On the other hand, Nifty Sensex started trading at 24,228.75 mark and it hit its highest for the day at 24,236.35. While Nifty50 hit the lowest at 24,056.40.
Indian Rupee traded at Rs.83.46 against USD on 02nd July 2024. Larsen & Toubro, Wipro, Infosys, HDFC Bank, Tata Consultancy Services ended as Top Gainers in Sensex. Larsen & Toubro, Wipro, Infosys, HDFC Bank, Tata Consultancy Services ended as Top Gainers in Nifty50.
On the other hand in top indices of Stock Markets; Bharti Airtel, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Tata Motors, Indusind Bank, State Bank Of India stocks ended as Top Losers in Sensex. While Shriram Finance, Bharti Airtel, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Tata Motors, State Bank Of India ended as Top Losers in Nifty50.
