Stock Markets Update: Indices end flat after high profits

Stock Markets dips after high profits on 19th June

Stock Markets ended flat after recording new high benchmarks on 19th June. Investors once again started this session with huge enthusiasm. Gradually, as the session progressed, investors started looking to book profits breaking the streak of positive sessions. Indices ended flat with BSE recording nominal profit while Nifty50 lost gains.

Going into the details, BSE touched 77,850 mark while Nifty touched 23,660 mark for the first time. At these record highs, investors decided to book profits. Except for Banking and IT sector stocks, all other failed to maintain the gains. Hence, big indices of Stock Markets, BSE gained 36.45 points to close at 77,337.59 and Nifty lost 41.90 points to close at 23,516.00 mark.

In this session of Stock Markets, BSE Sensex started trading higher than previous closing at 77,543.22 and then continued to trade between 76,954.87 – 77,851.63. On the other hand, Nifty Sensex started trading at 23,629.85 mark and it hit its highest for the day at 23,664.00. While Nifty50 hit the lowest at 23,499.70.

Indian Rupee traded at Rs.83.45 against USD on 19th June 2024. Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, IndusInd Bank, ICIC Bank, and Kotak Mahindra Bank ended as Top Gainers in Sensex. HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank and IndusInd Bank ended as Top Gainers in Nifty50.

On the other hand in top indices of Stock Markets; Titan, Maruti Suzuki India, Bharti Airtel, Larsen & Toubro, and NTPC stocks ended as Top Losers in Sensex. While Titan, Maruti Suzuki India, Bharti Airtel, Bajaj Auto, and BPCL ended as Top Losers in Nifty50.
