Asani Cyclone: Cyclone further weakens

Asani Cyclone has been terrorizing people of Andhra Pradesh from past one week and it seems to have decided to calm down without causing irrevocable damage any further. The cyclone is weakening into depression and it will further weaken in the sea, predict IMD and Andhra Pradesh weather department forecasters.

As per the latest update, the cyclone that intensified into storm has been swirling around 50 kms close to the coast of Machilipatnam. Weather forecasters predict that the cyclone will further weaken in the sea and due to its affect there will be mild rains in Andhra Pradesh state in Rayalaseema region and Krishna, Godavari districts.

AP CM YS Jagan has asked for the collectors, sub-collectors and regional officers to review the situation closely and send the affected people to the refugee camps as soon as possible. Earlier, Pawan Kalyan demanded government to help paddy farmers as the pre-monsoon showers will damage the harvest.
