Aravinda De Silva comments on BCCI domination!

Board of Control for Cricket in India, BCCI has secured multi-billion dollar deal for broadcasting Indian Premiere League digitally and on Satellite for next five years. This has made many other boards to look at IPL and fear for the domination of BCCI in ICC.

Ramiz Raza, former Pakistan legend and commentator, current PCB Chairman, said that his vision for PSL also yields similar kind of results but ICC should not give IPL too much importance in the cricket calendar.

Now, Aravinda De Silva, Sri Lankan legend commented on Indian domination in the World Cricket. He opined IPL should be a breeding ground for associate teams or players from associate countries as well. He shared fear about quality of cricket in Sri Lanka dropping down like in Zimbabwe, South Africa in near future.

He opined IPL domination should be in check over the World Cricket. He asked Indian board to allow players from India to participate in Sri Lanka or other countries T20 leagues as well. Aravinda shared his concern over world class players retiring early or only participating in IPL and not in other leagues, which will bring down the quality in other countries for sure.
